Officially on a Diet

I had enough!! During the holiday seasons, I met up with my relatives and friends and all of them, whom I haven’t seen for a long time, thought that I am pregnant. Having a baby is a blessing, I know, but I don’t think it is nice to hear people say that you are pregnant when you are not. LOL.

I am not offended as I admit that I really look pregnant with my very big tummy but it gave me a realization that it is time for me to take actions and shape up.

My first step, I will go on a diet by using the Calorie Counting method recommended by my friend Jody. They have been using this method to loose weight and it really worked for her and her husband and so I thought I should give it a try.

This diet plan is really simple as there are no food restrictions. I can eat anything that I like, including chocolates, ice cream or even foods rich in carbohydrates as long as I maintain my maximum calorie intake for the day.

I installed My Fitness Pal Calorie Counter application on my iPhone and I edited my profile by entering my height, weight and ideal weight goal and it will calculate my Daily Calorie goal that I have to maintain to loose at least 2 pounds per two weeks. I just entered in this app my food intake for every meal so I can calculate if I am already over my allowed calorie intake.

Today is my 1st week and I loose 1 pound. Not bad. Hope I can maintain this as I really want to loose those bulges and of course, live a healthy lifestyle too.
