After the stress that I got from GLOBE SM MANILA branch, finally, I was able to get my iPhone 4S.
Of course I got it not from GLOBE SM MANILA, as I have to go to another branch to be able to avail of my loyalty reward.
I registered online after my friend Dennis mentioned that Globe is already accepting pre-orders for the new iPhone 4S. I got an email of my reference number but when I called the hotline, I was informed that they couldn’t find the reference number that I have in their system so the CSR have to create a new application for me.
I was given a reference number again and I can pick up my phone on December 27, 2 PM at GLOBE SM MANILA branch. I called the hotline before I went to SM MANILA and they confirmed that my unit is ready for pickup. I was in SM MANILA at 2 PM wit my daughter to pick up my phone but lo and behold, they told me that my unit is still not available. They have a pending delivery for that day but they can’t guarantee that it is for me. The delivery can arrive anytime until 9 PM so I decided not to waste my time and just come back the next day.
I was only able to come back on December 30 and unfortunately; I was attended by a CSR who does not know how to be polite with their clients and how to attend to their customer’s needs. She kept on saying “Ewan ko po Ma’am” (I don’t know) or “Kayo po bahala” (It’s up to you) every time I ask her a question instead of giving me options on how to follow up my request. I was so pissed that I have to talk to her supervisor to report the incident.
I got a call on January 2 from GLOBE SM MANILA after hundreds of follow up calls that I made using their hotline as nobody is answering the calls on the number that they gave to me for follow up. I missed the one call that they attempted to contact me and when I tried calling back, as always, they are either dropping my call or ignoring it.
I got fed up with GLOBE SM MANILA that I decided to ask the help of my sister as she has a friend who works with Globe. I lost hope also as my sister, my friend and my cousin was able to get their unit from other branch as scheduled so I can’t help but assume that it is GLOBE SM MANILA branch that has a problem.
Thanks to my sister’s friend, I was able to avail of the loyalty reward that I know I deserve. On January 8, 2012, I was finally able to meet Siri.
Hubby’s plan will be expiring soon and he can avail too of another iPhone. Now I will have to remember not to transact again with GLOBE SM MANILA.
