From Small to Big

Have you been planning to invest something but you don’t have enough capital for it? Maybe you have considered investing gold bars but you thought that you couldn’t afford it.

Well, why not settle for gold coins for now? You can buy gold eagle coins as part of your investment and this is very affordable and the fact that this is the leading gold bullion coin will definitely serve as an assurance that the money that you will spend will surely be worth it.

Gold will always be one of the good investments because as we all know, its value increases from time to time. So you don’t have to worry that you can’t have your own. Try venturing on small things first like these gold coins before settling for the major ones, after all, as cliché as this may be, great things start from small beginnings.

So better think about this. Everything is all worth it.

For Today

Hubby took a leave from work today to attend to some important matters (this is the good news that we are hoping to receive this week). He only planned to take a half-day leave but then he can’t say no to his daughter’s request when he went home this afternoon and he was asked by his daughter to take her to school. Too bad I haven’t taken a bath yet because I wanted to go with them so hubby and I can do our groceries while waiting for B to get off from school.

So our plan: Hubby will bring B to school and I have to prepare while they are out so we will go to SM as soon as they arrive from school. So I am just waiting for our door chime to sound which signals their arrival and then if Jacobo is awake, we will go to SM to do our groceries.

Hubby is really busy and we rarely get to spend some time with him so I am really happy that he was able to take a leave from work today to spend some time with us. Hmm, maybe instead of SM, we can go to Robinsons Place with my mom and we can just have dinner there to celebrate this special day.

For Her School Program

B will have a program in school and they are asked to wear a Muslim costume on Monday to mark the opening of the “Lingo ng Wika.”

My mom and I panicked when we saw the note from B’s teacher in her assignment notebook since we only have less than a week left to look for a Muslim costume. It is difficult to look for a ready made costume for B as she is a little small so we really have to look for a seamstress who will make a custom made costume for her.

I am really not use to planning these kinds of things in such a short notice. I think their next program will be this coming October for their Halloween event so I hope that we will receive the Halloween invitations early so we can prepare for her costume in advance.

I called my contact who always makes B’s gowns and costumes but her schedule is full now and so she can’t accept my order especially she only has a week to finish it. Thank goodness my mom found my sister’s old Muslim costume and we will just have it repaired by our neighbor seamstress. Hopefully the costume will turn out okay even though it is just a recycled costume. LOL.

For the Sake of Bargain Deals

This has been the most tiring Monday of my life. LOL. My sister, together with his boyfriend, went to the Warehouse Sale to grab some great deals for items of Sanuk, Jansports and Samsonite luggage at the State Land Center building in Binondo. It was already almost lunch time when we arrived and the warehouse was full already with shoppers like us who wanted to get bargain deals.

We were able to get some great items which have a discount of 50 to 80% but I must say that it was one tiring way to get a discount. Imagine we have to fight our way to dozens of customers to get the item that we want and then line up for more than two hours a the cashier to pay for our items. We even skipped lunch as we are already in line and we can’t go out to eat since we might loose our spot in the line if we go out.

Next time I will remember that it is better to wait for deals online like the Cyber Monday deal of Buy.com. At least with this kind of sale, I can shop at the comforts of my own home without having to wrestle with the other customers and at the same time getting the same discount (or sometimes even more) than buying it at the stores.

Oh well, at least now we learned our lesson.

For His Collection

My husband is really one sports enthusiast and he loves collecting sports memorabilia and I can see the frustration in his eyes every time he fails in finding the sports memorabilia that he likes. Thanks for sharing the site of Hollywood Collectibles Inc. Now my husband has a place to go to find affordable and authentic autographed items of his favorite sports idol to complete his collection.

We are in process of renovating our second room as our new room with the arrival of our baby boy so this post is so timely as I am looking for an online store where we can purchase a nice carpet for our room. I checked out the site and they really have a wide range of options to choose from and their price is also unbeatable.

What Kind of Shopper Are You?

I think this is so true. LOL

You Are an Impulse Shopper

When you go shopping, you have no set strategy. You just browse until something catches your eye.

You like sales, but you mostly like them because they're an excuse to shop.

Of all the types, you are the most likely to be a shopaholic. You can't stop shopping!

You're not the kind of person who makes a list or plans what to buy. So sometimes you end up with too much stuff.

For Sale

Selling your stuff online is really the best way to promote your products as it can reach a wide variety of audience. That is why if you want to sell military stuff, it is really better to join military auctions through Affiliated Auctions site. They have the experience when it comes to buying and selling all kinds of stuff so your items will get sold right away if you sell it through them.

Car repairs can be so expensive so we resort to buying rebuilt Marine engine most of the time to save money. But like what you pointed out in your post, we should buy our rebuilt engines from trustworthy stores; otherwise we will just end up doubling our expense for car repairs as we have to replace our car engines again. Thanks for giving your feedback about US Engines so we now have information about a trustworthy and reliable store where we can buy rebuilt engines.

Having a one month old baby and a 4 year old toddler makes me really paranoid about these kinds of viruses that may be a cause for diseases and sickness for my kids. Thanks for this post that I was able to discover Immunolytics. I will definitely get their mold test kits to have my home tested to be sure that my kids are living in a home that is safe and clean.

I checked out the site blindsaver.com and they have a wide range of choice from eco friendly blinds to energy efficient blinds and even child friendly blinds. Plus side of buying blinds from them is I can get 5% discount from my purchase by just using the coupon code.

Home Alone

I and Jacobo are home alone today so I am taking this time while he is sleeping to blog and compare life insurance online so I can finish my work before he wakes up.

Hubby has to work overtime today so he can finish all his pending work which piled up when he went on leave. B and yaya on the other hand left early also to attend B’s ballet class and they were accompanied by my sister and my dad. My mom also has to go to the hospital for her laboratory exams which she needs to complete before her check up this Saturday. My mom was actually suggesting that she postponed her trip to the doctor so she can stay at home with us but I know that it is again one of her delaying tactics as she is really avoiding this trip to her doctor.

But all has been okay for me and Jacobo as Jacobo is very easy to take care to. He will just sleep quietly in his crib and he will only cry if he is hungry but after feeding him, he will just go back to sleep.

This has turn out to be a very productive day actually as I was able to finish a lot of my pending task and I am happy at how this day has turned out.

Sweets Overload.

Looks like I will need fat burner after this day as I just received a call from hubby and is asking me what I like to eat for my afternoon snack as he and B is already on their way home.

My request:

Kripsy Kreme donuts
Strawberries and cream drink from Starbucks

A definite sweets overload. And I just had grande Strawberries and cream drink too yesterday and Ferrero Rocher chocolates. LOL. But how can I say no if hubby is spoiling me. And besides I have been avoiding sweets on my last trimester of pregnancy as advised by my doctor so I guess it is just okay to splurge and give in to my cravings now that I gave birth already.

I can’t wait for hubby and B to reach home as I am already imagining the delicious donut and frapuccino drink that I will enjoy in a while.

Busy Saturday

It was a busy Saturday for B and hubby. It is B’s first day at her ballet class and swimming class and she can’t afford to be absent again since she was not able to attend the class last Saturday.

Hubby has to work overtime today from 8 AM to 12 noon but I asked him if he can make it home by 12 noon, get the car in Quezon City (as my mom and dad used it), pick up B’s swimming gear at home and then pick up B at school so they can go directly to B’s swimming class. Of course, hubby said yes as he also doesn’t want B to miss her class again.

Hubby is really like that, our energizer bunny who looks like he is taking testosterone booster as he is our super hero who never gets tired of doing things for us. So even though he did not have enough sleep as he is helping me take care of Jacobo last night, and he has to wake up early to go to work, he still manage to drive from Manila to Quezon City to Manila to Makati and back to Manila just so he can make B happy. Truly, the best daddy ever.

Food 4 Thought Friday

Breakfast What are your plans for the 4th of July weekend?
I will just stay at home as I am just recovering from my operation.

Lunch What is your favorite drink in the summer?
Lemonade, soda, iced tea.

Dinner What are some things you hope to do this summer?
Hit the beach to enjoy the sand and sun. My daughter is already asking when we are going to the beach so hopefully when I am well recovered already from my operation, we can go on a short vacation to the beach before I go back to work after my maternity leave.

Midnight Snack Do you have any vacations planned this summer?
No definite plans yet but if I will be able to find the budget, I want to treat my family for an overnight stay either at Acuatico Beach Resort or Punta Fuego.

Recipe of the Week (instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for this week?)
Everything happens for a reason and God will not give us anything which He thinks we can not handle.

My Mom

My mom is a bit in panic now as we are pressuring her to go visit her doctor for an executive checkup. Ever since she learned of my mother-in-law’s condition, the more paranoid she become and is really scared to go to the doctor for checkup even if she is feeling something. Thank goodness I was able to convince her last week and I accompanied her to see her doctor.

Her doctor gave her a list of the laboratory exams and ultrasound that she needs to get done. So far, I bought her hgh supplements already and will accompany her again this Saturday for her laboratory exams.

I told her doctor about her fears and she assured my mom that she will be just fine and she just wants those exams done just to be sure. My mom has been postponing the completion of these exams so I really have to make sure that she will make it to her appointment for the laboratory exam this Saturday.

I Love to Eat

This is what I had for lunch:

IMG_0623

IMG_0624

Galungong (Fried fish) and fried eggplant with fish paste.

Looks like I will need weight loss pills that work to help me loose weight and get back to my pre-pregnancy weight as I don’t think I will be able to go on a diet. My mom is with us now to help me take care of our baby boy as I recover from my operation and so she is managing the maids and she is personally planning our daily menu. And everyday, we have nothing but delicious food that I always end up eating more than one cup of rice every meal. And if I continue to do this, I might even gain weight instead of loosing my pregnancy weight. LOL.

But I don’t think it is advisable to go on a diet too as I am breastfeeding. Oh well, I am still enjoying pigging out and it is really a comforting feeling after savoring a very sumptuous meal so I guess I will continue with this eating pattern and just dream and wish that I will be able to loose weight soon without going in a diet.
