Finally

Finally, he made the big leap and found the guts to leave his current job to pursue his dream and passion, to have a career in the beauty industry.

He has been asking for our advice if he should resign or not from his current job as he is scared to start from zero again if he chooses to change career. But we can really see that he is no longer happy with his current job and so there is no other reason for him to stay. So I was really glad when I heard that he finally filed his resignation and he is now enrolled at Maryland Cosmetology School.

Maryland Cosmetology School is one of the campuses of Regency Beauty Institute, one of the leading and fastest growing beauty schools in the US. From only 2 campuses, they now have 30 campuses across nine states and the reason for their success is because of the excellent training that they give their students. They hire nothing but the best instructors in the beauty industry so their students are guaranteed to get the best training.

I am sure that my friend will get a job in the beauty and fashion industry after she finish his course with Regency Beauty Institute.

On my 36th Week

I had my prenatal check up yesterday and after only two weeks, I already gained another three pounds (there is really no denying that I will definitely need weight loss supplements to help me loose weight after I give birth).

My doctor checked the heart beat of my baby and she said that the baby is doing okay. I just complained to my doctor that my tummy is really getting heavier and heavier that I find it really difficult to walk and find a good position to sleep.

Since I am already on my 36th week, I was asked to return for another check up after two weeks. My OB might order an ultrasound when I return for my check up to check my amniotic fluid index, etc. We will also be talking about my birth plan on my next visit and since there is a chance that I might deliver via Caesarian delivery, we might set a schedule already on when I want to deliver.

Now that I am getting close to the finish line, I am really feeling excited and scared all at the same time.

Next Ms. Universe?

We visited B’s Developmental Pediatrician last week for her regular check on B. Her doctor said that B is below the normal level in terms of height and weight than other kids of her age.

Her doctor will start her on a workup to at least increase her appetite so she will increase her weight and height (but at least it is comforting to know that there are hgh pills that B can take during her puberty to help her with her height if ever she will not increase her height during her toddler years).

There is actually nothing wrong with B’s height. Me and hubby are both 5’4” only and based on her doctor’s calculations, B might be anywhere from 5’2” to 5’4” when she grows up so it is just the average height for us, Filipinos. But her doctor just wants to try a work up for her. Who knows, she might grow taller and will be the next Ms. Universe. LOL.

40 Days

On June 12, we will all be going to Bulacan as it is the 40th day when our grand father passed away. It has been one of our family traditions that we gather on the 40th day when a relative passed away. We will offer prayers and a mass to help the soul of our grand father to reach heaven.

My grand father is just 70+ years old when he passed away. He died from cancer. He was diagnosed when it was already at its worst stage so there is really nothing much that the doctor can do. Maybe if we have discovered the best colon cleanser, then it would have been a big help in detoxifying his colon, then it would have helped in preventing cancer or at least his cancer would have been caught at an earlier stage when it is still curable.

But I know he is happy where he is right now as he is now at peace with his creator. May you rest in peace Lolo Elpie.

For My Mom

I am now reading prototype 37c reviews that my mom is asking me to read as she wants to order a wrinkle cream online. My mom, though she just stays at home ever since she retired from work, still manage to be fashionable and beauty conscious. She will not go out of the house without make up on and she always sees to it that she is well dressed every time she goes out.

And she is not getting any younger already and so when she noticed that her wrinkles are getting really obvious already, she wanted to do some remedies and find the best wrinkle cream that will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.

It is very rarely that my mom will ask a favor from me so I really have to take time to do a research and read the reviews so I can give her a better report and recommendation about prototype 37c.

On Traveling

When hubby and I went on europe tours, I researched every thing to make our itinerary and it is really not easy and is indeed has become a very challenging task for me. Imagine I have to book for our hotel accommodations, flights, museums passes, etc. That vacation would have been more relaxing and we could have covered more areas and visit a lot more places if only I book our package from Collette Vacations so an expert tour manager could have been with us during our tour and we could have maximize our vacation. Oh well, at least now I know who to call for our next vacation.

My daughter just got sick for four days with high fever and her CBC results showed that she got infection caused by contaminated water. She has to drink antibiotics for seven days and that is only when she got better. That is why I realized that drinking clean and safe water is really important and that is where water filter pitcher will be a big help.

Dreaming of a Beach House

It is so hot and humid here in my part of the world. For this week alone, the highest temperature that they were able to record is 37.5 degrees Celsius.

I can’t help but imagine myself, lying in a beach chair while I enjoy the cool breeze of the wind or swimming in the beach. That would really be refreshing. So when I saw the properties of Tamarindo Real Estate, I can’t help but dream that I hope we have the money to invest in a beach property.

Tamarindo Real Estate is one of the most popular real estate markets today. It used to be a secret paradise so its location is one of its selling points. Hundreds of condo and house developers are constructing properties for sale here because of the popularity of this real estate. What is good about Tamarindo Real Estate is that the locals see to it that they adhere to the conservation standards, so even though they are developing real estate properties here, the beauty of the island has been maintained. If only I am rich, I would definitely call a Tamarindo realtor to get more information about this property.

I agree that a lot of illness and disease like diabetes and high blood pressure can be avoided with a simple change in diet and lifestyle. And it is true that prevention and monitoring does not need an expensive doctor or medicine or hospital bills. All that is needed are simple equipments like blood pressure monitors that anybody can use at home. Like they always say, prevention is better than cure and it is really important that all of us should be conscious and responsible in taking care of our own health.

Competitions are really intense for companies now and it is important that they not only have an online presence, but they should have a good positioning in the World Wide Web. That is why SEO services are really important because they help companies improve their internet traffic and ranking in the Internet so search engines can easily index the company’s website. But SEO is not an overnight thing and is really a complicated task so it is important that companies’ should also hire reputable companies like Thinkbigsites to do the SEO services for their company’s website.

To buy or not to buy?

Hubby and I have been contemplating if we will buy a second car which is bigger to accommodate our growing family or not. Right now, we only have a Toyota Vios and it is a bit tight already with yaya and B at the back. So I am sure it will be more uncomfortable especially if we are going on a long travel with our second nanny and baby boy at the back of the car.

But we know how expensive brand new car can be especially if we are considering SUV. Add to that the auto insurance, the regular maintenance like change oil so we are really not sure if we can squeeze in our budget right now another amortization for our second car. We are also planning to start the renovation of our house in Bulacan plus the new expenses coming up with the coming of our second bundle of joy so it looks like there is really no way we can buy a brand new SUV this year.

We don’t want to stretch our budget that much as we also want to have something extra to keep for our savings account. Oh well, I guess we really have to set our priorities straight and we just have to make do with what we have right now.

Bye Tito Elpie

Last Saturday was the funeral of my grand father. Early this year, he told us that he had stage 4 cancer and we are all really in shock of the news. (This really made me realize how important life insurance is so no matter what happens to me and hubby, we will be sure that our kid’s future will still be secured).

Our Tito Elpie, as what we fondly call him (he is the brother of my grand father), is one of my favorite lolo. He lives in our house in Bulacan and Bulacan brings back good old childhood memories. Every time we visit him there, he is already at the veranda waiting for us to arrive and he will wave his hands up in the air to welcome our arrival. Then he will bring us to the chicken farm in our backyard where he will guide us as we gather eggs. Every time we visit him, we will always go swimming after and he will take us to a resort near our house.

When we visited him when he was already very ill, I saw a picture of my daughter displayed on his living room and I was really touched. He will fondly played with B every time he visits us in Manila and seeing him play with my daughter brings back old times when we were still little and he will take care of us every time we visit him in Bulacan.

You will surely be missed Tito Elpie but I am sure you are happy where you are right now. I know you will always be around to guide and protect us.

Farm Girl?

Since Friday, we stayed at our place in Bulacan until Sunday. This is actually the first time that we have stayed this long in our house as we don’t normally have time to drive a few hours north for a quite weekend.

Hubby always wanted our weekend this way as he misses his former life in the province and staying at our house in Bulacan is the closest thing that he can get for a quite and relaxing weekend.

My uncle was with us last Sunday and he and hubby have surveyed the area and they are already making plans for the renovation of the house. Hubby wanted to start with the renovations soon so we can spend our weekends here regularly. He even promised B that he will buy her a horse and riding breeches so she gets to go horse back riding here every weekend.

Hubby’s initial plan was for us to move here permanently but I am really a city girl and I am so not use to the deafening silence with only nature as your background. LOL. And besides, Bulacan will be a long drive for the kids if they started to go to school everyday. So we agreed that this will be our weekend house and I am glad hubby accepted my condition.

Project

Finally, hubby and I agreed that it is time to de-clutter our second room. We are currently occupying a much smaller room now. We preferred this room as it is facing the front of our house so when we moved to this house five years ago, we chose to stay in this room even though it is smaller.

But now that we are having a second child, there is really not much room left in the room that we are occupying now for our baby boy. So even though I like the location of the room that we are occupying now, we have no choice but to move to the second room.

I already started looking for modern bedroom furniture as we need to buy new bedroom furniture that is space saving so the room can accommodate our bed, B’s bed and the bed should be big enough for me and hubby and the co-sleeper of baby boy. My dad agreed to help us move our stuff and to move the wiring for the aircon, cable TV and internet connection. My uncle will do the layout for the changes that hubby wants to incorporate as hubby wants to turn the would be vacant room into an open area that will serve as a play area for the kids.

We have just been busy these past two weekends but hopefully we can have this project done before baby boy arrives come end of June or early July.

Shipped and Delivered

All the items that I ordered from Amazon have been shipped and delivered already so I am expecting for our boxes (total of three boxes) to arrive anytime soon (guess I will really need box cutter to help me open all those three boxes safely and easily).

These boxes contains the 4 oz and 9 oz BPA bottles that I ordered for my baby boy and the baby of my brother, the bottle brush, the co-sleeper, and B’s new thermos drinking bottle. I am excited already because at least these are a few items to cross out from my shopping list for baby boy. Next on my shopping list are the electric breast pump that I am planning to buy (but I am still contemplating if I should just get the manual one as it is cheaper) and the diaper bag.

I am just waiting for the next cut off of my credit card and I will be shopping again for things for baby boy.

Food 4 Thought Friday

Breakfast
What is something hanging over your head this week? The result of the election (I know it’s just been a day but I still can’t get over it. I am not happy with the results really. When will we ever learn), what the future of our country be in the next six years, my pending tasks, articles that I need to write and re-write, pictures that I have to sort and upload, etc, etc

Lunch
Name at least five things you do that you are proud "well-pleased" of. Being a mom, being close to my family, always willing to help without expecting anything in return, my blogging skills, and being industrious.

Dinner
What is something you are always wanting to do, but never seem to be able to. I always wanted to bake but I can’t seem to get started learning how to. Maybe I should buy a new oven first.

Midnight Snack
What is your best way to cope with stress. Playing with my daughter, blogging, shopping, talking to hubby

Recipe of the Week (instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for this week?)
Enough complaining. The nation has spoken and they have chosen who they like to be our next president. Now let us all just hope that we will still have a bright future.

I have five more pending tasks and I am done and ready for another batch of work for this week. I plan to finish it tonight so I will probably stay up late again (which is what I have been doing for the past week now that is why I will really need pronexin as I will surely have acne breakouts again).

I am really thankful that work is pouring in because it gets our bills paid and it even allows me to put some on our savings account and splurge for a bit for my family and for myself. I was even able to save up to pay for our car insurance and I was really glad because I was able to buy something to reward myself for all the hard work that I have been doing.

So all that late night sleeping and numerous hours staying online is all worth it because it has really been a big help for my family financially. Hope this month will be the same as last month, though I lack sleep and I fee so tired, any opportunity to earn a little extra will be most welcome.

2 Birds with 1 Stone

I am having problems with acne breakouts again. Maybe it is still has something to do with the hormonal change brought about by my pregnancy. But I will definitely look for a treatment as soon as I give birth to cure my acne. I even read that there is a fat burner called curvatrim which will not only help me loose weight; it will even help me get rid of my cane.

I will surely need a fat burner to help me get back to my pre-pregnancy weight so using curvatrim is like hitting two birds with one stone – it can help me loose weight while at the same time help me with my skin problems too.

I am down to my last trimester of pregnancy. I am so excited and I can’t wait for the day to come when I will be able to finally see and hold my precious baby boy.

My Pregnancy

A lot of things have changed ever since I got pregnant. During my first trimester, I had pimple breakouts (maybe brought about by the hormonal reaction of my body), then I had hair loss that I thought of using natural cures for hair loss since the hair loss is really that bad.

Now I have swollen feet, back pain, and I sometimes feel heartburn and difficulty of breathing too. The weather also is not helping my condition as it is really very hot that I sometimes can’t do anything because I feel irritated and uncomfortable with the very hot weather. I am really glad though that I have a stable condition after I went pass my first trimester (I have to take a bed rest during the first trimester.)

But I am thankful since I am already in the last leg of my pregnancy. I just have to wait for a few more weeks and I will be able to see and hold my baby boy.

Sandra Bullock & Louis

Sandra Bullock and her son Louis is the cover of People Magazine for this month. You can read from People magazine Sandra’s thoughts on being single again, about her relationship with her husband and about her adopted son. Louis.

She and her husband has spent a lot of time in New Orleans after the Hurricane Katrina and there were a lot of kids left alone after the calamity and so they felt that instead of bringing another life into this world, they wanted to reach out and find their child in New Orleans.

They underwent a four year adoption process. They have no idea what the gender of their adopted kid would be, how he/she would look like. Louis Armstrong’s song What a Wonderful World kept playing in her head every time she looks at her son and so she named him Louis.

This is how Sandra describes the first time she saw Louis:
“The first time I met Louis it was like the whole outside world just got quiet. He was so small, so still. All the trivial things that I had allowed to take up so much of my time just didn’t have room in life anymore. All I said when I met him was, ‘Oh there you are.’ It was like he had always been a part of our lives.”

For my Mom on Mother’s Day

May 9 is Mother’s Day. We used to go out during Mother’s Day with my mom to celebrate but since it will be the day before the election, looks like it will be a busy Sunday so we are thinking to just celebrate it at home.

But to make it more special, I am thinking of getting something for my mom like loose diamonds to add to her collection. I owe my mother so much. Aside from taking care of me and raising me well, she is doing the same thing for my daughter. I had no nanny for almost three months and I was on bed rest during my first trimester of pregnancy and she was the one taking care of me and my daughter. Now that I am about to give birth, she doesn’t want me to get a second nanny for our baby boy as she said that she doesn’t want to trust anybody else to take care of our baby boy but herself. Se did the same thing with my daughter and she only allowed me to get a nanny for my daughter when my daughter turned one.

She is really the best mother anyone could ever ask for. I know no material thing can ever replace what she has done for us but it is just our own way of saying thank you and that we appreciate what she has done for me and my family.

Inspiration

As I posted in my previous post, it has been an unproductive weekend for me. For some reasons, I just feel so tired and lazy that I would rather sleep than work. I still have a lot of pending jobs but I decided to get it out of my mind first because no matter how much I force myself, my brain is not cooperating and nothing is coming out of it.

My friends are saying that I should take a break and keep it slow especially I am already on my last trimester of pregnancy. But I guess I just have to take women's multivitamin to give me added energy as I can’t stop working. We need the extra money to pay the bills you know and we still have to buy some more stuff for our baby boy.

But I am thankful that work continues to pour in. I was busy these past few weeks but I was able to survive. I know I can do it again this week. All I need is just a little inspiration to get my mojo back.

Unproductive

Work wise, my weekend has been unproductive. We are out the whole day on Saturday and it was almost 10:30 PM when we reached home and when I logged in to my laptop, there was no Internet connection. I did not try troubleshooting it as I was too tired already from a very long day and I took it as a cue that it is time for me to relax for a bit and get some sleep.

The next day, I tried calling SMART and they confirmed that the connection was good in our area. So I suspect that it is the router that is causing the problem. Hubby was out for a shoot and I was too lazy to troubleshoot the problem so I just slept the whole day.

Come night time, I still feel so tired and sleepy that I decided to call it a day and will just get back with my groove the next day.

But at least I was able to relax and rest for a bit. I had a very busy week last week that I always end up sleeping late. Hopefully my one day of rest is enough to get me recharge so I can start working again later.

This is indeed a great post. I agree that websites should have all the qualities that you mentioned to attract more customers. I for one don’t like to check and search through websites that are so difficult to navigate. I checked out the site of ThinkBigSites.com and it is indeed a very good site and they really made it clear from the videos in their site what services they offer like SEO services, web design and optimization, etc and they can really capture an audience from their website.

This is a very informative post about credit counselling. Because of the economic crisis that we are facing, more and more people are getting stuck with debt and which are giving them debt stress. The first step really is to admit that you need help and thanks to Consumer Credit of America, who is an established government organization that is backed by the US Trustee Program, they can help people in debt in solving their debt problem. They even provide credit counseling sessions for free and can provide a big help for individuals in becoming debt free.
