I read from the blog of my good friend Jacqui about her party planning updates for the first birthday party of her son Migo and I can’t believe it that even though she prepared less than a year in advance, she still had a difficult time booking for a venue and the entertainment for the party as most of her first choices are already booked when she inquired.
This means that I have to plan really way in advance for our baby boy’s party. I initially wanted to have his Christening at a club house and get a caterer but I had a change of heart after learning Jacqui’s story. Now my plan is just to have a simple Christening for our baby boy and I will start preparing for our son’s first birthday party while I am planning for the christening so at least I have 11 months to prepare.
I actually have a theme in mind for his party. We can have a pirate party and order pirate costumes but as per Jacqui’s advice it is not a recommended theme for first birthday party as most of the decors for a pirate theme party are skulls and skeletons which are not suitable for kids. I was also thinking of Cars theme as there are a lot of party decors for this theme plus I can buy many items for this theme in Divisoria but this has been a very used theme already for a party. So now I am thinking to have a Circus theme and rent carousels, acrobats, stilt men, game booths and the like to turn the venue into one Circus.
I better start talking to hubby about this so I will know from the manager how much budget will he give me for his son’s first birthday bash.
