Rant: Smart Bro

I want to read about alli reviews but I am really having problems with my internet connection. Smart Bro really sucks here in our area. I am having a hard time opening websites. Every time I try loading a site, I will get a “This page cannot be displayed” error and I have to refresh and re-try several times before the page will finally load.

Even the simple Yahoo page won’t load. I tried opening Yahoo.com to check my mail and the site won’t open. I have to refresh the page like a hundred times before the Yahoo main page will finally load but then if I go to the sign in page, I have to refresh again because it is not loading my Inbox after I logged in.

My kumareng Peachy who is also subscribed to Smart Bro is also experiencing the same thing. I think there are a lot of Smart Bro subscribers in our area that their system can’t handle all the subscribers accessing the net at the same time. The problem is I really don’t have any other option in our area for Internet connection. Globe broadband is available in our area but it uses the same system as Smart Bro and the signal of Globe in our area is not that strong so I think the service might be worse if I switch to Globe.

I just hope that they will try to resolve this issue soon because Internet is really a part of my everyday life.

Long Jersey Dress from Katrice Wear

I so miss Katrice Wear. I love her designs and collection especially they come with a matching pair for my little princess also. But we have been really busy that I can’t find the time to check her out in one of the bazaars that she is joining.

I woke up early today and decided to browse the net and I just saw this new style form Katrice Wear:

Katrice Wear’s long jersey dress. It looks so light and comfy that is so perfect for pregnant woman like me and even to those who wants to hide their tummy. LOL. (Congratulations by the way to Marissa because she is pregnant too. And I am just so happy because at least she is making designs that are suitable for pregnant women like me).

I plan to really try harder this time in breastfeeding my baby so I plan to postpone taking weight loss austin after I give birth so I think I can really make use of this long jersey dress even after giving birth because I can still wear it when my tummy is still showing.

All parties that we have lined up for November are all over so hopefully we have a free weekend to check out Katrice Wear in one of the future bazaars that she will be joining.

Top 10 Reasons to Shop at Coach.com

Why would you want to shop at Coach for the holiday season? Here are some of the reasons:

I am really drooling for the Coach Zoe bag and wallet but I still have a lot of expenses to prioritize so it has to wait for now. For the meantime, I think I can just enjoy window shopping at Coach’s online site. And since it is Thanksgiving, they are offering free shipping for orders $75 and above and for only $198, you can buy a gorgeous Coach handbag. (Now I am really tempted to buy another Coach bag. Wish me luck and wish I can fight temptation. LOL).

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!! This is what my daughter just said and she is already asking for her gifts. LOL. I explained to her that Christmas is on December 25 and we will give gifts to each other and open it on the 25th. But she kept on insisting that it is Christmas already since she can already see Christmas trees and Christmas outdoor lighting already everywhere (which is really true).

I was really laughing and I have to asked hubby for help on how I can explain it to our daughter that it is still not yet Christmas. And besides our gift for her is still not here. I ordered it from Amazon and I am still waiting for its delivery before I can have it wrapped and give it to her on Christmas day.

Good thing my hubby was able to divert her attention and she stopped bugging us about Christmas. LOL.

Don’t worry dear princess. Christmas is just a few days away and you will surely receive your gifts come Christmas.

Black Friday Sale

I was surprised to see more than 500 tweets waiting for me when I logged in to my Twitter account and guess what the topic is? Of course, what else but shopping.

My friends are all going crazy for the Black Friday sale since the prices are really a steal. They purchased all things that you can imagine from pillows to comforter, to digital cameras, printers and laptops and of course clothes and shoes too.

As for me, I am really broke since I have piled up quite a large bill on my credit card during our last family trip so I tried not to check the sites that they all shared because I am sure I will be really tempted to go shopping to.

But then, I saw this at Old Navy:

Aren’t these boots so cute? I am sure it will really look nice in my princess and it is on sale too. Old navy is having an “Everything on Sale” Thanksgiving Day promo from Friday to Saturday only in stores and online. They even offer free shipping for your online purchases of $50 or more. So what do you think, should I give in?

Window Shopping for Baby # 2

I was browsing the net and found this:

Isn’t cute? This 12 piece bedding set is on sale at Baby Bedding Palace. I am now on my second month of pregnancy and I know that it is still too early for me to shop for baby things but since it has been almost four years already since I last gave birth, I am pretty excited for this pregnancy. That is why even as early as now I have been doing some window shopping online on where I can buy new stuffs for our second baby.

We are hoping that it will be a boy this time so I have been checking the Baby Bedding Sets for little boys and I can’t seem to make up my mind on what design to choose as all the designs are really so adorable.

What I like best about Baby Bedding Palace is that they use 100% natural quality high cotton materials so I will be sure that it is safe for my baby. All their products are hand made from Nepal so it is also environment friendly.

So for my friends who will be asking me for my wish list for my baby shower, just check out Baby Bedding Palace as I love all their bedding sets.

You have a brain tumor. Though there is no discomfort at the moment, this tumor would unquestionably kill you in six months. However, your life can (and will) be saved by an operation; the only downside is that there will be a brutal incision to your frontal lobe. After the surgery, you will be significantly less intelligent. You will still be a fully functioning adult, but you will be less logical, you will have a terrible memory, and you will have little ability to understand complex concepts or difficult ideas. The surgery is in two weeks.

How do you spend the next fourteen days? I will spend each day with my family talking about anything that is interesting and makes any sense. My daughter is growing up to be an intelligent girl so this may be the last 14 days that I will be able to speak to her with real sense.

Every person you have ever slept with is invited to a banquet where you are the guest of honor. No one will be in attendance except you, the collection of your former lovers, and the catering service. After the meal, you are asked to give a fifteen-minute speech to the assembly.

What do you talk about? About the present. I don’t want to deal with my past and I specially don’t like to talk about it especially in front of my former lovers.

You have won a prize. The prize has two options, and you can choose either (but not both). The first option is a year in Europe with a monthly stipend of $2,000. The second option is ten minutes on the moon.

Which option do you select? I think I answered this before. I will choose a year in Europe. I know ten minute on the moon is something very unique and not all will have the opportunity to experience but I just went to Europe for three weeks and after the three weeks, we left Europe hoping that someday we will be able to have more time and more money so we can enjoy Europe more and explore a lot of nice things about the continent.

Are you an NFL fan?

Are you an NFL fan? Well if you are then you might find this site very interesting – NFLUniformset.com.

My husband is a real NFL fan and he showed this site to me where he orders different NFL Merchandise. If you have a son, I am sure this cute NFL uniform sets will look cool on your toddler. How I wish I have a baby boy as I will definitely order one for him.

Not only do they sell uniform sets but you can also buy sports equipments, hats, caps, masks, and NFL uniform set team locker. This locker will be a great cabinet for your little boys for their sports stuff or it can be use as a display cabinet for your boy’s NFL collectibles. That is what my hubby did. He collects different kinds of NFL merchandise and memorabilia and he used the locker as his display cabinet. Check this out:

This is my husband’s new favorite site as he definitely can get enough of all the NFL collectibles that he can get from NFLUniformset.com. He even has it as his homepage. So for all you NFL fans out there do check out this site for all your NFL collection needs.

This is a post review brought to you by the site above.

More Investments

Investing in precious metals like gold and silver is one of the investment options that my husband and I are really considering. I have been doing some reading and I learned that gold is a safe and stable investment. Since it is a rare metal, it will not depreciate in time and even has a high re-sale value. Since gold is also universally accepted, I can easily sell it for quick conversion to cash.

After doing my readings, I checked out the site of Monex as I learned that they are the number one gold and silver investment dealers. The experienced staff of Monex can give me tips on the best investment deals and since they have good network and a steady contacts, I am assured that with their help, I will get the best deal that is being offered in the market.

In this time where we are faced with economic recession, it is really wise to look for other investment options so we will be assured of our future and most especially our kid’s future.

Our Amazing Race Experience

A few months ago, my husband and I went on a three-week tour to Europe. It was indeed a great experience, something that I would say everybody should try at least once in their lifetime (I would have wanted to go back to Europe but it is so expensive there that I don’t think we will ever be going back in the next 50 years. LOL).

But our Europe adventure was more exciting because of the numerous experiences we have every time we leave one city. We always have to run just to make it to our train ride or plane ride. Like when we were leaving Rome for Paris, we have to take a plane and since it is a budget airline, if we don’t show up then our tickets will be cancelled and forfeited and that is P17,000 worth of money already. If only I have known that we will be late, I would have purchased travel insurance so even though we show up late at the airport, with the insurance, we can at least get a part of our airfare or we can rebook our tickets I think subject to rebooking fees.

We left a little late actually than what we initially planned as we were so tired during our last day in Rome. Then I did not notice also that the 8 AM bus doesn’t stop at the airport and we have to wait for the next bus which is at 8:15 Am that will take us to the airport. It was 7:45 AM already and I was already panicking because our flight leaves at 8:55 AM. I saw a couple checked out the cabs parked near the bus stops and they hesitated to take the cab because it is a bit pricey. Good thing I am a fan of the Amazing Race show so it gives me an idea to share the cab ride with them so we end up paying Euros 10 each.

We barely made it to our flight, but I guess we are still lucky since we are arrived at the airport a few minutes before the check-in counter closes. Now that is one experience, right.

Bed Rest

As per my doctor’s advice, I need to take one week of bed rest. I had a check up last Saturday and a hemorrhage was found in the ultrasound. My doctor said that I should really be careful so it will not lead into miscarriage.

I was at the hospital last Saturday for almost the whole day for all the routine checks, ultrasound and laboratory exam that I have to take as procedure for all pregnant woman. Though the ultrasound was covered by my HMO, how I wish I have NC short term health insurance so all the laboratory exams and medications will be covered. My medicine alone cost 1800 already and it is good only for two weeks and I have to take it for three months. Oh well, I don’t mind spending as long as the baby is safe and healthy and that is what we are really praying for. Please pray for my safety and the safety of our baby. I really need all your prayers.

Almost All set for the Party

A week before our princess’s birthday party and I can say that everything is almost ready. Hubby just needs to finish the tarpaulin for the party and the lay out for the personalized balloons that I ordered from my co-MBAP, Apple and send them for printing the latest on wednesday so we will be sure that it will be finish before Saturday.

All that is left for us to do is buy the party attire that we will be wearing for the party. I actually bought one from Causeway but I really look fat with that dress (oh well, it is either the dress is really not that flattering or I just really need to get weight loss pills).

Hubby will be off on Wednesday so hopefully we can use that day to go to the mall to buy our party attire. Good thing I already bought our daughter’s party wardrobe before we left for KL and SG so I only have to think of my and hubby’s clothes.

Manic Monday # 187

Most of the U.S. observed Daylight Savings Time yesterday. Is it easy or difficult for you to switch your body clock? Do you suffer from jet lag when traveling?

Yes, I am very bad with jet lag. I hate it every time I go to Canada because of my problems with jet lag. Since Canada has a 12 hours difference with Manila (so the time in Canada is the exact opposite of the time in Manila), it will take me 1-2 weeks to get use to the time difference.

If you had to pick one place in your town to bring a tourist, where would you go?

I will take the tourist to Bohol. It is a 45 minutes flight from Manila. Bohol is my favorite because it is not too commercialize as compared to Boracay so it is the perfect place for a very relaxing vacation. Also, if you get tired of the beaches, there are still a lot of places to visit like the Loboc River and go on a river cruise, chocolate hills, visit the tarsier, or go dolphin watching.

When you travel away from home, do you miss it?

Yes, I miss my family most specially.

All Soul’s day

November 1 is All Soul’s Day. It is one of the holidays that are being observed by Filipinos. This is the time where we visit and pay respect to our dearly beloved who past away already.

We we’re not in Manila during All Soul’s day but my relatives still took time to get together and visit the grave of our aunt and uncle and our cousin who past away already. All Soul’s day in the Philippines is like a reunion for families as almost all the members of the family will take time from their busy schedule to be with their family in paying respect to their dead relatives.

As for me, this is also a reminder of how precious life is. Like now, I am doing some reading about colon cleanse and other ways to live a healthy lifestyle. Now that I am pregnant, I am really very conscious to take care of my health because my ultimate dream as a mom is to be able to see my children, my grand children and even my great grand children grow up and be successful in whatever field they choose.

Move

My friend has been so stressed out this past few weeks because they need to move to Arizona in a month. She is happy actually with the move because they are relocating since her husband got a better job offer in Arizona. But I know moving houses is a really stressful task and add to that the fact that they have two kids to take care to.

Luckily, I heard about Mesa apartments from a friend and I gave the link of their site to her. The site is really helpful as my friend can easily search list of apartments for rent from this website. It even shows photos of apartments as well as floor plans so my friend can easily make a decision on apartments that they can rent in Arizona.

Now I can see her smiling again after I gave her the site. I am sure she will find a nice new place for them in Arizona with the help of Mesa apartments.

Tagaytay

Yesterday, hubby suddenly said “Let’s go to Tagaytay.” I would normally have said yes so our daughter can try her new breeches when she goes horse back riding and I would really like to eat at Bag of Beans, one of our favorite restaurants there but I know I can’t say yes. My doctor advised me to have a bed rest for a week because it was found in my ultrasound that I have 0.96 cm of hemorrhage found in my uterus so I have to be careful so it will not lead to miscarriage. And besides even if I am healthy enough to travel, I don’t think we have the time even for a short trip to Tagaytay. All our Saturdays are packed with our daughter’s birthday celebration and every Saturday and Sunday, one of our friends’ kids will have a birthday party also. And after our busy November, I am sure we would still be busy with the coming of the holiday season. So Tagaytay will have to be postponed for now…maybe in the next few months.

Straight Out Of the Camera Sunday

This picture was taken one evening while touring around the Petronas Tower. I love this picture as this is the first time I have seen the Petronas Towers at night and it is so lovely to capture it in pictures. The twin Towers looks like cute giant cake from afar.

2G vs 3G Iphone

I still have the first generation of Iphone and I am thinking if I should get the Iphone 3G during the Black Friday sale (I have been saving up and I have not been touching my Paypal account so I can shop at Buy.com during their sale period. LOL).

So what’s the difference between the Iphone 2G and the new Iphone 3G?

3G is a little bit bigger than the 2G but is lighter (3G weighs 133 g compared to 135g of the 2G version). The display for both 2G and 3G stays the same: 480 x 320 3.5" multi-touch display. They also have the same storage capacity at 8 GB and 16 GB and the camera resolution is still the same at 2.0 megapixel camera. As for the connectivity, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is available for 2G while 3G has both connectivity available with the addition of 3G Internet connectivity that is faster when browsing the net.

Judging by the specifications, there is really not much difference between the 2 versions. The only improvement I can think of is the 3G internet connectivity which I rarely use anyways. So do you think it is worth it to upgrade?
