A few months ago, my husband and I went on a three-week tour to Europe. It was indeed a great experience, something that I would say everybody should try at least once in their lifetime (I would have wanted to go back to Europe but it is so expensive there that I don’t think we will ever be going back in the next 50 years. LOL).
But our Europe adventure was more exciting because of the numerous experiences we have every time we leave one city. We always have to run just to make it to our train ride or plane ride. Like when we were leaving Rome for Paris, we have to take a plane and since it is a budget airline, if we don’t show up then our tickets will be cancelled and forfeited and that is P17,000 worth of money already. If only I have known that we will be late, I would have purchased travel insurance so even though we show up late at the airport, with the insurance, we can at least get a part of our airfare or we can rebook our tickets I think subject to rebooking fees.
We left a little late actually than what we initially planned as we were so tired during our last day in Rome. Then I did not notice also that the 8 AM bus doesn’t stop at the airport and we have to wait for the next bus which is at 8:15 Am that will take us to the airport. It was 7:45 AM already and I was already panicking because our flight leaves at 8:55 AM. I saw a couple checked out the cabs parked near the bus stops and they hesitated to take the cab because it is a bit pricey. Good thing I am a fan of the Amazing Race show so it gives me an idea to share the cab ride with them so we end up paying Euros 10 each.
We barely made it to our flight, but I guess we are still lucky since we are arrived at the airport a few minutes before the check-in counter closes. Now that is one experience, right.
