My Packing Tips

We’re off to Singapore tomorrow. I am done packing all our stuff and I was quite lucky as I was able to fit everything in one bag. I didn’t have to go through the dilemma where I have to select between my wardrobes.

As my husband always says, Pack light. But packing is really one stressful thing for me every time we travel. So here are some few packing tips that I learned.

1. Scan all important documents like passport, tickets, vouchers and send it to you own email account so you have easy access to it just in case anything happens.
2. Split your valuables like cash and credit cards, atms in separate bags and pockets.
3. Pack only what you need (this is the most difficult part for me as I always want to bring extra clothes every time I travel as you really don’t know what might happen).
4. If you are travelling with a toddler, it would also be wise to pack extra clothes for you on your carry on so you have something to change to if any accident happens.
5. I noticed that rolling clothes instead of folding them occupies less space. So this is what I do for clothes that I don’t mind getting a little wrinkled.
6. Use small bottles for your toiletries instead of bringing the big bottles.
7. Check with your hotel if they will provide towels (and most likely they do), so you don’t have to bring one since towel occupies a lot of space and is also heavy.
8. If you are travelling with a toddler, try those disposable baby bottles so you only have to bring one bottle for the entire trip and just bring liners instead of bringing 6-8 bottles.
8. Lastly, make a packing list so you won’t be forgetting anything.

So I will be offline for four days s I have no plans to blog during our vacation. But I will be back with pictures and stories of our Singapore vacation.
