My Lasik Surgery

My brother has been complaining about his eye problem and how he finds it difficult to drive specially at night since he feels that his eyes need to be corrected. He has been asking me about my lasik surgery and if it is all worth it. I didn’t really have a post about my lasik surgery so I thought of recalling it here.

I decided to go ahead with my surgery since I really can’t stand wearing contact lens already since my eyes get all ready and itchy and irritated at the end of the day and I can’t afford not to wear a contact lens since I am literally blind without it. And I don’t want to wear glasses also as I would really look geeky wearing it because the lens will be really thick.

I had my lasik surgery two years ago and I really don’t have any regrets and it was all worth. The surgery only took around 15 minutes and it is an outpatient procedure so I can go home after the surgery. I was not able to open my eyes overnight and if I tried to open it, tears will really fall from my eyes and I have to take a pain reliever or two to ease the pain. But I experienced all of this in just one day, since the next day I woke up, my vision is so clear and I am totally free from contact lens and eye glasses.

I just had an annual checkup in the office and the ophthalmologist said that I have 20/20 vision. So even if it is expensive, I can really say that having a Lasik surgery was really all worth it.
