It’s a girl, it’s a girl!! That’s what my good friend Dale announced to us when we had lunch yesterday. She is now six months pregnant to their first baby and she and her husband is really excited for the baby’s coming.
We too are excited for them. As early as now, I have been giving her tips about taking care of the baby, giving birth and all other baby stuff. And of course, we did not miss talking about shopping for the baby (which, by the way, is my favorite topic).
I gave her my baby checklist that I used when I shopped for my own daughter. This checklist that I got from my Expectant Mother’s book has been very useful to me as it helped me shop for everything that I need for the baby’s coming. So I would like to share it here as I have a lot of friends who are pregnant right now and might find this list very useful.
1. Nursery Furniture –Crib and Mattress, Dresser, Changing Table and Pad
2. Infant Feeding Supplies –High Chair, Bibs, Booster Seat, Sterilizer Kit, Bottle Brush, Bottle Warmer, Plastic Bottles, Nipples, Breast Pump Set and Nursing Pads
3. Baby Bedding & Nursery Accessories - Comforter, Bumper Pad, Crib Sheet, Mobile, and Pillow
4. Infant Health & Child Safety Products - Nursery Monitor, Vaporizer, Thermometer, Nasal Aspirator
5. Infant Bathing Needs - Baby Bath Tub, Bath Sponge, Hooded Bath, Towel, Wash Cloths, Potty Chairs, Safety Scissors, Nail Clippers, and Brush/Comb
6. Infant Clothing – Diapers, One-piece outfits, Sleepers, Playwear, Booties, Socks, Shoes, Receiving Blankets, Undershirts
7. Infant Travel Products - Play Yard, Infant Car Seat, Toddler Car Seat, Diaper Bag, and Stroller (Umbrella and Large)
