God’s miracle in our life

In just four months our daughter will be turning three years old. How time really flies. And I am already starting to plan for a party for her in one of our favorite orphanage. You see, this has become an annual tradition for our family. We started this when Bela turned one.

Bela had a congenital hear disease when she was born. We found out about this two weeks after I gave birth to her. Her pediatrician heard heart murmurs when she checked on my daughter and she recommended us to a cardiologist so a specialist can check on my daughter’s condition. As we were waiting for the cardiologist, I was able to talk to some of his patients who are waiting outside his clinic and some of them have severe cases of heart problem that they even need to have a mitral valve surgery.

I cried when the doctor gave us the bad news and confirmed that my daughter has a congenital heart disease. But the doctor gave us some hope and said that since my daughter’s condition is not a severe case and she does not need any kind of operation like mitral valve replacement, all we can do is hope that her condition gets better as there is no medicine that he can prescribe for my daughter’s condition.

With prayers, God did a miracle to us and before my daughter turned one, the doctor confirmed that she no longer has a congenital heart disease. There is no need for a mitral valve repair or any kind of surgery as she is now healed. Since then, we have been doing a celebration in an orphanage during her birthday as our way of thanksgiving for the miracle that God gave to us. Indeed God is really good and he really does a lot of miracles.
