And so I thought that no more cast from the original CSI Vegas will leave the show since I just read that William Petersen (who plays the role of Gil Grissom) and Marg Helgenberger (who plays the role of Catherine Willows) just renewed their contract with CBS. So I was really shocked when I learned that William Petersen will leave CSI Vegas. His final episode will be aired next year during the show’s 10th series.
Willaim Petersen has been with CSI Vegas for eight years now and it is undeniable that he helped in the show’s popularity and success. It is William Petersen’s own decision to leave the show and I read that he will be doing theatre play during his absence from CSI.
CBS producers said that Grissom will still do guest performances even after he leaves but he will not be seen on a regular basis. A new guy will replace him on the show and they said that he has a different character as Grissom.
Because of Petersen’s resignation old characters will be brought back to the show like Sara Sidle, Lady Heather and the Miniature Killer.
Oh well, but as for me CSI Vegas will never be the same without Grissom.
