Decisions, decisions, decisions

I received a phone call from my mom today asking me why did we brought our car to work as my father plans to bring it to the shop for repair. My father has been asking us to send our car for repair as it really needs an overall check up because it is not running at its top performance. My husband noticed it also but we are always busy and we are a little scared to send it for repair as we know that we don’t have that enough money for car repairs.

Our car is just a second hand car that we bought from our brother. That time, a used car is the only thing that we can afford so we just settle for that one. Buying a used car has some advantage since it is cheaper so we were able to pay for it in cash. But now we are thinking if that can outweigh the headache that it is causing us every time we have to send it for repair.

So now we are thinking if are ready to get an auto loan so we can finally buy a brand new car that will not give us any headache. Come to think of it, our housing loan will be finish in six months time so we will be financially okay by that time to get an auto loan.

But I guess we have to think about it first and discuss this among ourselves so we will know what is our next best step so we can be free from any headache that frequent car repairs is causing us and at the same time we have to make sure that the cost of this convenience (by getting a new car) will not be a financial burden for us.
