Another farewell

I was so sad yesterday after my good friend Mark and his wife Yhana visited us. They gave us a visit so my friend can bid us farewell as he is leaving for Dubai in two days. His sister was able to find him a work there and so he will be living his family here so he can try his luck in Dubai.

I always feel sad every time a friend has to go abroad to work. Howell and I really have no plans of working abroad but almost all our friends are starting to leave us one by one as they moved to other countries to work. But I can’t blame them. Life is difficult here in the Philippines and if you have a hungry family to feed, you really have to find ways to earn money to sustain and provide for the needs of their family. Howell and I are lucky as we both have a good job that can able to provide for our needs and wants and so we are lucky that we don’t have to live our country to work.

I can’t imagine myself living in new country and adjusting to a new life there. I even asked my friend why he ever decided to be far from his family and work abroad. His only answer was, he just wanted to give his family a much better life.

To my friend Mark, good luck on your new adventures in Dubai. Who knows, if we will be able to find the budget, we might have a Middle East travel and we will be able to visit you there.
