Aggie Wants to Know # 3How’d your first six months go? And what are you looking forward to the next six months?
January: Good month to start the year
January is a festive month for our family as we have a lot of occasions to celebrate for this month. It is during this month that I celebrate my birthday, Howell’s birthday, my grand father’s birthday and our anniversary. Last January, I was able to avail of Cebu Pacific’s promo fare and was able to book a vacation to Bohol. It was our birthday/anniversary celebration and my mom and dad was with us also as it is our Christmas gift for them. My parents had a great time during our vacation as they were really able to relax as we just stayed the whole day at the beach, enjoy the sun and enjoy the company of each other.
It was also a good start for Fokalente (my husband’s photography business) as we received five bookings for January which includes two weddings.
Bela was also a flower girl in the wedding of Noemi and Vice. This is the second time that Bela was a flower girl but it was memorable as she marched with the other flower girls this time (though I have to march down the aisle with her). But I was one proud and happy mommy.
We also had a simple third anniversary celebration in Tagaytay where Howell treated us for lunch at Moon Garden Tagaytay
FEBRUARY – Bela and Howell’s Month
January 29 was our wedding anniversary but Howell started my February with a wonderful AVP that he and my cousin had prepared for our anniversary. It was really very romantic as I really did not expect it and I know it is his labor of love for me.
It was also during this month that I started to look for a preschool for Bela so she can start attending summer class. It was a fun experience as we get to visit different schools and let Beal sits in to the class to see if she would really enjoy it but it was also very confusing for me as I feel that we have to make a major decision in choosing the best Pre-school for Bela. (OA ba?). We visited three schools – Toddlers Unlimited, Cambridge Child Development Center and MIND Specialist. In the end we decided to enroll her at Toddlers Unlimited.
It also this month that Howell got a promotion. I was really happy as he really worked hard to get this promotion and I know that he truly deserves it. He also got his MCSE certification this month which he has been working on for months now.
It was also this month that I got my new baby – My Planet Purple.
MARCH – For my Mom
I was able to avail of Cebu Pacific’s promo again and booked a trip to Singapore with my parents. It would be our first time there so all of us are really excited.
This was also a grueling month for our family as my mom was advice to have D&C and the tissue that will be extracted should undergo biopsy. We have a history of cancer so just hearing the word biopsy freaks me out. But thanks to all your prayers, God gave us another miracle and her OB said that there is nothing alarming with the results of her biopsy and her D&C went well.
APRIL – My Preschooler
Bela started her first day as a preschooler last April 8. I was on leave for two days to be with her on this special milestone in her life. And I decided that I don’t have to take a leave the following week as she adjusted right away to her new school environment.
MAY – On Yaya, Me and Howell
We had an issue with our yaya but then again we realized that she is the most “matino” out of all the yayas that we had. So even though I hate her so much, Howell said that we should not let her go.
Then it was also this month that Howell’s Temporary Duty to Majuro was confirmed. I hate to see her leave again even if it was just for three weeks but we can’t do anything with it since it is part of his job.
And since Cebu Pacific is having a zero fare, I booked another vacation again for November just in time for Bela’s third birthday.
Yaya also went on vacation for eight days so we are yayaless for a week. But we manage to survive with the help of my mom and my tita who are always there to help us take care of Bela specially Howell and I both have to go to work.
And of course, my much awaited movie was shown this month - SATC, so and I have to watch it twice and I am now waiting for its DVD release so I can watch it anytime I like.
JUNE – Away
Howell left for Majuro where he will stay there for three weeks. Good thing I was busy with blogging which is my therapy so I was pre-occupied and so I did not miss hubby that much.
It was also not a good month for me in terms of work as I am the flavor of the month of my boss. He will be leaving in just a few days and he just wanted to make my life a living hell during those remaining days that he will be here.
And I also made a stupid thing that made Howell feel bad while he was a thousand miles away from us. Imagine, I have to make a long distance call to Majuro just to make it up with Howell and say sorry for whatever I said.
What I am looking forward in the next six months?
* Our Hong Kong vacation
* Bela’s third birthday party
* More bookings for Fokalente photography and hopefully we can expand our video services and include video editing and closed captioning as part of our service.
* New life in the office with my new “amo” and hopefully I won’t experience all the bad things that I did with my former “amo”
* Bela’s third Christmas and new year
* More online shopping and more travel.
