Have you seen the Sex and City movie already? Well I have and I was really happy, sad, and elated after watching the movie. (I will make a separate pot about it).
It has been four years since the Season 6 of Sex and City ended. I was one of those fans who got disappointed with their decision to end the show at the peak of its popularity. But I can say, the four years of wait was really worth it as the movie was really great.
I was glad the all four girls are present in the movie specially since rumor circulated that Kim Cattrall might not be part of the movie cast since she is not happy with the pay she is getting compared to Sarah Jessica. If you will remember during Season 6, Samantha had breast cancer. And rumor has it that the producer decided to make Samantha play this role since they plan to start the movie with Samantha’s funeral if she will not agree to do the movie since she demand a much higher pay or an almost equal salary and privilege as Sarah Jessica.
In an interview with Cynthia Nixon, she revealed that it took four years before they were finally able to release the Sex and the City movie since according to Cynthia, Kim was not willing to commit to the film right after the series ended.
But good thing Kim Cattrall and the producers where able to make an arrangement and so all four girls are present in the Sex and City movie.
I think Kim’s role is an important part in the movie because she is the one that gives the spice and humor to the movie. I can’t imagine Sex and City without Kim.
