Remembering my Aunt Vicky

It is my Aunt Vicky and Uncle Nick’s wedding anniversary today. I suddenly remembered my Aunt Vicky who died from cancer a few years back.

Her daughter was at our house this afternoon and both of us have been reminiscing about her dear mother. My aunt was really lucky to have a responsible son and daughter that even though their father abandoned them after my aunt died both of them we’re still able to graduate from college and both of them are working now.

You see my aunt died at an early age. She was an active woman and she lives a healthy lifestyle so nobody would have thought that she will have cancer. When she found out about her case, it is already in Stage 4 and clearly we are only waiting for the right time when her Creator would take her away from us.

She has no life insurance, so when she died, her two kids really had a hard time adjusting to their new life without their mom. But with the help of our other relatives and friends, her two kids were able to finish college and graduate.

So when her daughter was here this afternoon we have been discussing also how important life insurance is. I know my aunt is a very responsible person and she would not want her kids to have a hard time when she is gone. But like what I said, she died at an early age and maybe she just didn’t realize that she will leave her kids while they are still young and are still studying. For sure, she would have gotten herself a whole life policy so everything will be taken care of and the welfare of her children will be really secured.
