I was watching the movie Sex and the City for the second time last night with my husband when I received an SMS from WL. I wanted to concentrate on the movie but I was bothered with the message that she sent me.
She was asking for the cell phone number of her husband’s brother who is a priest because she really needs to speak to him badly. According to her she has been going through a difficult situation with her husband and her husband’s family.
You see, her husband has a mistress and it has been going on for years now. The sad part about it is that her husband’s family tolerates what her husband is doing. Her husband’s family even entertains the mistress every time she is here in Manila. They would even teach the kids to call the mistress “Aunt-Mama.” Her kids are not with her right now as the kids are staying with her husband’s parents. This is what has been killing her since she doesn’t get to spend some time with her kids as she is not welcome in the house of her husband’s parents.
She told me last night that her husband’s family has been telling her a lot of bad things. I know when she asked for the cell phone number of her husband’s brother, she is already desperate. I wanted to help her because I know that she is helpless. Her husband’s family has been playing with her mind and has been telling her lies. She is so naïve that it took her years to realize all of this. Or maybe she just let them do this to her because like what I said she is helpless as she has no job. If ever she would want to fight for her kids, she does not know where to get the money to support for their needs.
I have seen the mistress and she looks like she needs a list of best diet pills as she needs some serious dieting. I don’t know what the mistress has that make the husband leave the mother of his kids. All I know is that she earns green bucks and she is a Canadian Citizen. This makes her husband’s family bend their knees for her since they thought that the mistress is their ticket to going abroad.
I want to help her but I don’t know how. The last time I tried to help her; I was caught in a big mess since my husband doesn’t want me to get involve. They even tried to say bad things to my husband when they found out that I was helping WL.
This made me realize that I was lucky. I had a good education and a good job so they can never step on me. And I’m lucky because my husband loves me and I know he will not let them do the same thing to me or my daughter.
I just wish that everything will be alright for her. I can only offer her my prayers for now as I don’t know if I can ever get involve again in her problem
