Polaroid-on-the-go

Polaroid is not dead. Yes, you heard it right. With the advent of digital cameras and cell phones equipped with digital cameras, I thought that the Polaroid days are really over. But I was wrong.

Polaroid will be invading the digital world by introducing Polaroid PoGo (Polaroid-on-the-go) this coming July at all Best Buy stores nationwide.

PoGo is an inkless digital photo printer that is so small it can fit in your pocket or purse. It uses Bluetooth technology to print pictures from cell phones while it uses PictBridge to print pictures from digital cameras

PoGo uses ZINK Zero Ink Printing Technology so pictures are printed without ink cartridges or ribbons. All consumers have to do is buy a ZINK paper which is the size of a deck of cards so they can instantly print pictures.

PoGo will be available at Best Buy come July 6 and at Target come July 20 and will priced at $149.

That sounds pretty cool!

It would be so much more convenient than having to go home, turn on the computer (wait for it to warm up), plug in the camera, upload the files, adjust the printer settings, wait for the printer to warm up and print...

Only for the d*mn paper to jam.

I'm looking forward to having a sticky~beak at it. :)
