We we’re having our usual lunch last Friday, when one of our officers brought up a topic about a beautiful beach resort in Caramoan, Camarines Sur. I’m really not familiar with the place but my cousin mentioned it also to us when she invited us to join them on their trip to Caramoan.
But as I tried to look for information about in on the web, I was surprised to find out that one of my favorite Reality TV show, Survivor, has been shooting their latest season at Gota beach in Caramoan. Survivor France has been shooting there for 28 days now and the beach has been closed for three months already for their exclusive use.
My husband was so thrilled also when I gave her the news as he is a native of Bicol and he was so proud that at least tourists are taking notice of their province.
The Gota beach will be open again to the public this coming June and according to the Governor, they will invite the press for its reopening this May. They have done renovations and development for the resort and according to the Governor, they will allot a 200 Million budget for the development of the place and to make it more accessible by land, air and sea so that it can become a tourist destination.
This is good as they say that Gota Beach is the next Boracay so it must have real potential. At least we will have an option to the over crowded Boracay.
