Yesterday, I was supposed to meet with my SK friends because our Vice Mayor has invited us for dinner. Some of you might not know, but I was once a Sanguaniang Kabataan chairman for more than five years and yesterday was the 12th year anniversary of our batch. So our vice mayor hosted a dinner for all former SK officials.
I was supposed to go and attend the dinner since most of my friends are coming. I decided to go home first instead of heading straight to the reception venue since it is too early. And when I saw my daughter, I suddenly decided not to go since I would rather spend some time with her than go out and party.
I don’t know but I have been like this since I gave birth to my daughter. I would always head straight home from work and I seldom attend parties. Maybe I just got tired of all those endless partying that we had when I was sill single. Maybe I feel that I already had my time and now I feel that I should have all the time that I have for my daughter.
I was able to talk to my friend who attended the dinner and they round up around 12 AM already as they have a drinking session too after dinner. Good thing I decided not to attend since my husband worked overtime last night and if I will be out of the house too, then my poor daughter will be left all alone with my nanny which is the last thing I don’t want to happen.
