I was doing my weekly statistical report of the technical support job that I received this week in preparation for our weekly meeting on Monday. I noticed that in the past couple of weeks, we have received a lot calls regarding our printers since it is producing a lot of dirty printouts.
We have been using generic toner cartridges for our printer since it is definitely cheaper (almost half the price) than the original toner cartridges. But the problem is the powder is coming out of the toner which leaves the inside of the printer dirty thereby producing dirty printouts.
I already observed before that our current supplier for our generic toners don’t give us high quality type of toners. Sometimes, almost 30% from the batch of toners that we received are defective.
I have to let my boss know about this so this can be addressed pretty soon as we are already receiving a lot of complains from our clients. For sure we can find a supplier that can offer us toners and ink cartridges that are 100% guaranteed against defect. Otherwise, instead of saving, the money that we saved from the purchase of the generic toners will be jus be used for printer repairs and we may have a lot of unhappy clients.
