New project

When we had our team building exercise last March, the team was Innovation. Each of us was asked for suggestions on how we can have Innovation in our department. One of the suggestions was the move to paperless system.

My boss was keen in making this happen and so he has been pushing the IT Department to implement ways on how this can be done.

This will be our new project. We thought of using an online version of all the forms that we are using here like the work order request, job orders, leave forms, and the like. All of these forms will be made available online and users just need to access these forms, fill it up and then they can save it and send to the respective department via email for action or for filling.

Since users will be the one to fill up everything for all their work request, the forms should be simple enough that users won’t get intimidated in using it and that they should find it user friendly so they won’t have a hard time using it.

With this in mind, one of the first steps that we have to take in implementing this project is to look for web designers who are user experience experts so they can design the forms that will be both simple and user friendly for the soon to be users of the forms.

So that is what I will be busy with right now. But I guess once I find the right web designer for this project everything will be smooth sailing after that.
