From Monday to Thursday, I always take the service from Buendia to Roxas Boulevard where I will meet my husband in his office to get a ride home. But every Friday, I get off from work at 1:30 and my husband is not off not until 4:30 PM so I have two options – I can wait for him so I can get a ride home or I will commute on my own.And since I prefer to go home early instead of waiting for him for more than an hour, I have to take the LRT on my way home. You see, I hate riding the LRT. One, it is always crowded. You have to squeeze your way through the passengers to go inside the train. And you don’t have to hold on to the safety bar while the train is in motion since it is that packed, you won’t fall down while the train is moving. Second, since the train is always full, it I very rarely that I will get a seat so I have to ride the train standing up. It would be okay it will just be a couple of stations but I have to stand up for a long time since Blumentritt (this is where I get off) is 11 stations away from Buendia.
So I find LRT ride really stressful. But you see, it is the fastest way to go home and I think I can bear the stress if that means I can go home much faster to see my daughter.

i also think so that taking the lrt and mrt is stressful. we used to have an apartment in sta. ana manila. my husband works in makati while i work here in ortigas. my husband has a car so it's no sweat for him but it's different with me. and standing along side men who bumps you intentionally or not is just not my cup of tea. right now, we decided to just take a condo here in ortigas just walking distance from my work. just to see how much our finances could take this arrangement.
