Let’s try something new – snow skiing

My husband will be traveling again this coming June for a temporary duty to Majuro. I really wanted to go with him since he will be gone for three weeks and I’m really not used to him being away from us that long. But I learned that the airfare is a bit expensive. And since there is nothing much to do in Majuro since it is an island, we don’t want to spend that much for airfare. My husband said that three weeks will just past and before I know it, he will be back here with us. He suggested that while he is gone, I can make myself busy by planning for our next vacation for our daughter’s birthday.

Actually, our first two choices for our next vacation is Hong Kong and Tokyo since we both have miles that we can use to get a free airline ticket. But with his recent trip, he will earn more miles, and we might be able to claim a free ticket to US or Canada. I have to been Canada twice already while my husband has been there once when he went with me when I was there on training last 2004. We have visited most of the major cities in Canada like Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto but we haven’t been to Vancouver and British Columbia.

So I figured, since we will be traveling during the winter time, maybe it is best if we try something new like snow skiing. We can look for a Whistler accommodation so we can go snow skiing with my daughter. My husband and my daughter are both very adventurous so they will definitely enjoy their first snow experience. We can choose from the many different types of Whistler lodging like their cozy apartments or their log homes. I tried searching for an accommodation and I fell in love with Cedar Ridge 17. I guess my husband is right, planning for a trip is fun and maybe this is a perfect way to get me preoccupied while he is gone.
