Next week will be my best friend’s birthday. He is not here in Manila right now as he is working on temporary duty to Majuro for three weeks but he promise to meet us and treat us for dinner when he comes back.Our group has been planning to buy something for his birthday present. Actually it has been a tradition in our circle to buy something for the birthday celebrant. They assigned me to buy the gift this time as they think that I’m the one who knows him that much so I would have the best idea on what to give him. But honestly, a lot of his birthday has passed already and I am already running out of ideas on what to give him.
The best thing that I can think of is to buy him something which he will really use. I remember he has been planning to buy a new Wilson tennis racket to replace his old racket which has served him for quite some time already. You see, he really loves tennis and he always plays every weekend so giving him any kind of head rackets will surely be appreciated by him.
Another option is to select from the wide array of New Balance tennis shoes which he also use every time he plays. But the problem is, I don’t know his shoe size.
Why did I ever agree to be the one to buy the gift for him? I never thought it will be this difficult. But he won’t be back until the third week of May so I still have a lot of time to do my shopping for him.
