Chicken Stroganoff

I am no cook. This is really one thing that I will not be able to do (I think). But you know I tried a few dishes and luckily I was able to cook it successfully without burning anything. LOL.

So I would like to share with you one of the dish that I was able to cook for my husband. Beef Stroganoff is one of the favorite dishes that we love from our caterer during our wedding. And so when I found the recipe of Chicken Stroganoff from Nestle, I immediately copied it and excitedly cooked it for Howell.

Chicken Stroganoff

Ingredients:

1 kilo chicken sliced into serving portions
1/3 cup all purpose flour combined with salt
3 tablespoons cooking oil
1 cup button mushroom
1 piece Chicken broth cube
1 medium carrot sliced
½ cup frozen peas
1 cup cheese grated
1 370 ml. can Evaporated milk soured with 2 tablespoons calamansi juice

Procedure:
  1. Dredge chicken in seasoned flour; brown in hot oil. Stir in mushrooms, chicken broth cube and 1 cup water.
  2. Simmer until chicken is cooked. Add carrots, frozen peas, cheese and soured milk. Cooked another five minutes and serve immediately while warm.
I tell you, this is one easy meal to prepare. If I (who really has no skill whatsoever with cooking) can cook it, then anybody can. So check it out. This dish is really yummy.
